Labeling Woodinville Whiskey Straight Bourbon
I stopped by Woodinville Whiskey Co. today just in time to catch them labeling their much-anticipated Limited Release Straight Bourbon. Only two days left to get all 600+ bottles labeled in time for Saturday’s release. Each bottle is carefully wiped clean and dried. Paper labels are applied one-at-a-time on a hand-operated, semi-automatic labeling machine. Then the metal nameplates are applied and finally each bottle number is written in by hand.
The labels are looking great and they really come into their own on the bottles. The interplay between the label art and the color of the beautiful, amber bourbon is even better than anticipated. Thanks to Seattle’s GM Nameplate for a quality print run.
I stuck around long enough to help label a few cases and was rewarded with a little taste of the product. It’s fantastic. Worth the wait! Join us Saturday morning at the distillery to get a bottle for yourself.

Each nameplate is applied by WWCo employee Matthew. I swear it looked like he was giving each and every one a tiny little deep tissue massage, working those corners down with his thumbs – top to bottom and back again. It was relaxing just to watch.
Ready to be numbered and boxed, the most relaxed bottles of whiskey on the planet:
